HOW TO STAY INJURY-FREE DURING EXERCISE
Staying injury-free during exercise starts with smart preparation. Warm up, use proper technique, progress gradually, and choose activities and equipment suited to your fitness level. Dynamic stretching, good form, and adequate rest reduce strain. Physical therapy further prevents injury by improving mobility, correcting weaknesses, and optimizing movement patterns for safer, more effective workouts.
Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological disorder in which dopamine-producing brain cells gradually decline, leading to symptoms like tremors, stiffness, slowed movement, and balance difficulties. Physical therapy helps manage these challenges through exercises that improve mobility, posture, strength, and coordination. Targeted treatment supports safer movement, reduces fall risk, and helps individuals maintain independence and quality of life as the condition progresses.

BE READY FOR SEASONAL CHANGES
With the seasons beginning to change in March, staying healthy during the unpredictable weather can be a bit tricky. Focus on hydration, sleep, and a balanced diet. Dress in layers to adapt to temperature changes, wash your hands frequently to prevent the spread of germs, and increase vitamin D intake. Be sure to also stay active by exercising, either indoors or outside, as conditions allow.
March is National Nutrition Month, which encourages informed food choices, balanced meals, and mindful eating to support overall well-being. Proper nutrition fuels the body for exercise, improves recovery, and helps maintain a healthy weight. By pairing nutritious eating with regular physical activity, individuals can build strength, boost energy, and reduce the risk of injury and chronic disease.
