It is with regret that we inform you that effective March 21, 2020 Peak Performance Physical Therapy will no longer be accepting primary insurance benefits from the above referenced plans who utilize American Specialty Health (ASH) as a third party administrator. This is a difficult decision for us as we strive extremely hard to honor as many insurance plans as we possibly can. However, despite multiple attempts to negotiate fair and acceptable rates of reimbursement with ASH and its affiliated plans (listed), they have refused to meet even our minimum requests.

Although insurance rates continue to rise to you the policy holder, some plans, as in this case, simply will not accept the fact that their reimbursement rates for medical services rendered are not even sufficient enough to cover the medical provider’s cost for providing that service. In other words, your rate increases are not necessarily or appropriately passed along to those who provide the medical service. Our requests in this case have been extremely fair and are actually lower than many other plans. 

You, as a policy holder, have a right to question why certain service providers have dropped, or refuse to accept, benefits from your plan. It is certainly a factor in deciding which insurance plan might be the best for you and your family. For further information, or to voice your displeasure regarding this matter, please contact your plan’s administrator or customer service representative as noted below. We would very much like to provide services to these plan participants provided we can obtain a fair and equitable contract.
